Reuse or recycle 80% of the Group’s end-of-life textiles by 2025
Terms of the action or commitment
The recovery of textiles, in particular post-consumer clothing, is a challenge with few existing and mature channels and technologies. The Group is therefore working to identify the best ways of recovery in its countries, and to innovate in order to develop satisfactory solutions. The Group is developing partnerships with textile companies to carry out pilot projects and test different approaches, recycling technologies (mechanical or chemical, for example) and outlets (insulating material, “textile to textile”, new innovative fibers). These pilots allow us to better understand the technical and economic feasibility, the difficulties to be overcome and to feed the product design phases to facilitate recycling or reuse.
