Terms of the action or commitment
The action aims to significantly increase the “Volumes of recycled plastics in Veolia’s conversion plants”:
– by bringing new plants into production,
– by signing the “European Plastics Pact” in 2020,
– by signing partnerships with other manufacturers to intervene from the design phase and promote recyclability.
This target contributes to the achievement of SDG 12 “Responsible consumption and production” and 13 “Action on climate change”.
– Target 2023: 610 kt; Result 2020: 391 kt; Result 2021: 476 kt. (Since 2021, this indicator includes the volumes of plastics recycled in Veolia’s processing plants treating waste electrical and electronic equipment, as well as the volumes recycled in plants acquired or sold by Veolia during the year.)
