Terms of the action or commitment

The Oïkos Lab is a laboratory that values dormant materials and production leftovers from Hermès Métiers through into its real estate projects. The Oïkos Lab strive for promoting circularity of materials and a virtuous growth by contributing to the singular identity and responsible of our living spaces, stores, production site and offices. This process combines creativity and technical innovation to undertake differently by merging ecology and economy.

 Some notable achievements:

 – Transformation production leftovers of porcelain sourced from Hermès Maison into tiles and faience. Since 2021, 100% of this material has been valorized.

– Reuse of declassified leather goods skins into Hermès production sites, stores and offices via interior design. In 2021, 10% of this inventory was revalorized.

Levers mobilized for circular economy (according to Ademe)
