Company's comments
L’Oréal has declined this “Biodiversity” commitment into six operational sub-commitments, as part of the L’Oréal for the Future programme : By 2030, 95% of L’Oréal’s ingredients in formula will be biobased, derived from abundant minerals or from circular processes. By 2030, 100% of the plastic used in the Group’s packaging will be either from recycled or biobased sources (the Group will reach 50% in 2025). By 2030, L’Oréal will reduce by 20% in intensity the quantity of packaging used for its products, compared to 2019. By 2025, 100% of the Group’s plastic packaging will be refillable, reusable, recyclable or compostable. By 2025, 100% of L’Oréal’s new displays will be ecodesigned, taking into account circular economy principles for end of life management, and 100% of the Group’s new Free Standing Stores will be designed and built following its sustainability principles. By 2030, 100% of the waste generated in L’Oréal’s sites will be recycled or reused. The Group gives preference to the use of renewable raw materials and ensures that they are responsibly sourced. L’Oréal has adopted green chemistry principles to promote the use of renewable raw materials, to design products serving to reduce waste and preserve the water cycle.
